Step One:

 You need to be sure that you are in compliance with the South Carolina laws. In SC, you have three options to choose from in order to be legal. HOPE operates under the third option of the SC homeschooling law.  

Step Two:

 Complete the online application and pay your membership fees 

Step Three:

  Begin your search for what you plan to teach. Choosing curriculum that is right for your child is one of the most important steps in creating a successful homeschool environment. 

Step Four:

 During the 180 day school year you are expected to keep the following records:
 

  •   Daily Lesson Plans or diary
  •   Progress Report
  •   Portfolio of Samples of Student's Work
  •   Daily Attendance Record

Step Five:

 In January and again in June, fill out the HOPE Semi-Annual Report and return to HOPE that will be located on the website.
